Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) Score (Last Updated - 4/11/2006)

-used to predict outcomes in patients w/ unstable angina or NSTEMI

-score involves 1-point for each of the following:
     1) Age >= 65 yrs.
     2) At least 3 risk factors for CAD
     3) Prior coronary stenosis of >= 50%
     4) Presence of ST-segment deviation on admission EKG
     5) At least 2 episodes of angina in prior 24 hrs.
     6) Elevated serum cardiac markers
     7) Use of Aspirin in prior 7-days

-Scoring:
     0-1: 4.7%
       2: 8.3%
       3: 13.2%
       4: 19.9%
       5: 26.2%
     6-7: 40.9%

-% above indicates % increase in # of events @ 30-days (including):
     A) All-cause mortality, or
     B) New or recurrent MI, or
     C) Severe recurrent ischemia requiring re-vascularization
